Our principal and staff
Our school team is committed to every student’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. We work together to create a supportive and inclusive school where every child is set up for success.
Welcome from our Principal
Welcome to Quaama Public School. Nestled in the rolling hills of the Bega Valley, our small rural school is a calm, safe and predictable learning environment where every student is known, valued and cared for across all wellbeing domains. Our commitment to strong relationships and structured support ensures that children feel secure, confident and ready to learn every day.
Our teaching staff bring deep expertise in the science of reading and a rich understanding of how students learn. This professional knowledge underpins our approach to explicit teaching, enabling us to build the solid foundations every child needs to thrive academically. Through clear routines, consistent procedures and orderly classrooms, we create the conditions that help students remain calm, regulated and focused on their learning.
We continue to support students with a variety of musical and sporting opportunities throughout the year. These opportunities allow students to learn essential fundamentals, develop confidence, and showcase their refined talents at local, regional and even state events.
Beyond the classroom, our students enjoy a spacious and inviting playground that encourages a wide range of physical activities and sports. We are also proud of our vibrant school orchard—established and maintained by our dedicated P&C—which produces an abundance of fresh produce for our students and strengthens our connection to the land and local community.
At Quaama Public School, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to flourish. We are deeply committed to nurturing the potential of each learner and providing a supportive, high-quality education that reflects the strength and spirit of our community.
